What we wanted to say was simple: thank you for being steady in the urgent minutes.

Today: Proverbs 29, ESV
Proverbs 29 warns that repeatedly rejecting correction hardens a person toward sudden ruin. In modern language, it says the way we respond to reproof today shapes whether we become flexible enough to grow or brittle enough to break. The chapter also addresses leadership and households: righteous rule brings joy, injustice harms the poor, anger spreads conflict, children need wise discipline, and fear of man becomes a trap. Wisdom learns to seek justice, control speech, receive correction, and trust the Lord more than public approval.

- It teaches that righteous leadership brings gladness, while wicked rule, injustice, flattery, anger, and lack of vision bring harm.
- It says fear of man lays a trap, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe, and it connects discipline with household peace.
2. What does it mean?
- Repeated correction is a mercy, but refusing it can make a person less able to change when consequences finally arrive.
- Leadership is moral stewardship; rulers, parents, and influential people can either stabilize others through justice or spread fear through wickedness.
- People-pleasing is spiritually dangerous because it makes approval feel safer than obedience to the Lord.

- Respond to one piece of reproof with a specific change instead of another explanation for why it should not count.
- Practice one act of just leadership today by protecting the weaker person, clarifying expectations, or refusing manipulative anger.
- Name one fear-of-man trap and take one obedience step that trusts the Lord more than image management.
