In modern language, it says leadership must not be consumed by appetite or distraction; rulers should use their voice for the poor, needy, and voiceless. Then it honors a woman whose wisdom is not decorative but active: she works diligently, manages resources, strengthens her household, gives generously, speaks wisdom, laughs at the future, and fears the Lord. The chapter celebrates character that blesses a whole community.
