Alcoholics may have a tendency to abuse their spouses, which leaves them with an eating disorder, leading their teen children to take drugs, making them suicidal which is when they end up homeless and need a soup kitchen.
But, they get an uplifting sermon on Sunday! It’s not all bad!
I’ve seen this — it’s in the basement level of the Museum Of Modern Art in Chicago, by the auditorium. It’s funny, but deliberately so — it’s a permanent artwork, not a real schedule.
I was more alarmed at the “Teen Suicide Watch” and then the Soup thing the next day.
They’s gonna watch a teen kill his/her self and then……O.O
CANNIBERISM!
So… we have alcholoics, people abusing others, drug users, people suffering from eating disorders, teenaged children committing suicide, and people who don’t have enough to eat; and yet, we have such a “joyous future” to look forward to…
I get it, but it’s not really all that ironic – the fact that this community has all those programs to address those issues common to societies all over the globe is, indeed, a good sign for the future. We all assume the existence of those programs as a negative in that it’s attendees have problems, but really, instead of ignore the fact that people have issues, this community offers help to them. That’s GOOD.
I like how the last one is in quotes.
Wow, that’s like a list of things I do every saturday night.
Only on Saturdays???
I wonder if they encourage the people with eating disorders to go to the soup kitchen on Saturday night.
This list is actually sequential.

Win!
now that’s funny!
Or as we call it, our family Christmas Get Together

Well that ruins it! Poo
Probably my Ex subscription?
Alcoholism, spousal abuse, eating disorders, drugs, suicide, and… soup.
Really bad soup, I suppose?

CANNIBERISM!
I think you mean CANNIBALISM.
You’re probably another addition to ‘America’s Joyous Future’?
Hilarious. But is it irony, or a scarily accurate prediction….?
By Sunday, with most of society’s problems resolved, it’s time for a joyous look at the future.
So… we have alcholoics, people abusing others, drug users, people suffering from eating disorders, teenaged children committing suicide, and people who don’t have enough to eat; and yet, we have such a “joyous future” to look forward to…
Uh…thanks for posting a description of a picture that we can, like, see. That was…useful…
Alchohol, abuse, eating disorders, drugs, teen suicide, soup.
That’s why there is joy.
IT IS ALSO A PHOTOBOMB !
Soup kitchen! Made from what, body parts?
Actually, it’s kinda logical. I’ll try to put it in the form of an equation.
Alcoholics anonymous on mondays + say no to drugs on thursdays = soup kitchen on saturday -> America’s Joyous future.
Problem solved.
Surprised the guy wasn’t naked in his reflection.
the soup makes all the difference

All the more reason to move to Canada.
Soup will save America.
Wouldn’t surprise me.
