  1. alberto says:

That’s not ironic. That’s just using an unexpected word. You’re just finding in funny because you’ve chosen to intepret it differently.

This site is cack. You does not understand ironicalness.

    • Humm. says:

Well, I agree that this is not ironic at all. But, this site is supposed to humor people. You’re too strict on the name. I mean, FailBlog, too, posts pictures of wins. You should take the pictures open mindedly as funny pictures and laugh at them. If you find that hard, get on your knees and maybe everything works out.

    • Failerella says:

      True dat.

Some of the rest of these aren’t bad, though.

    • Jo says:

It’d be – you do not understand irony- so i think perhaps you should find a dictionary and perhaps a junior high level English class stressing grammer.

      Just a thought…

    • myntee says:

i dont understand “ironicalness” can you tell me alberto? is it anything like irony?

    • Furthea says:

All I can do is quote a Favorite band of mine, or I should say quote one of the lines from one of their songs,
“How can you trust a creed that claims to set you free by spending half a lifetime begging on your knees.”

  2. elg3 says:

I grew up in an Adventist home .. Those people are so incredibly straight-laced and blinder-equipped, I guaran-damn-tee ya whoever set up this sign has never even HEARD of oral sex. I mean, “You put what in where? Ewww, gross! Get thee behind me, Satan!”
Come to think of it, maybe “Get thee behind me, Satan” has a connotation or two they’ve never thought of, either ..

    • yogibrew says:

I can vouch. An ADULT Adventist confided in me recently that she’d found out “normal people have oral sex,” not just crazed sexual deviants. Un Fucking Believable.

      • MegamanNeoX says:

I Thought They Meant Doggy Style. That’s On Your Knees Right?

      • EllieWhite says:

I dunno if I’ll get attacked for this but…Aren’t “normal people” starting to ALL become crazed sexual deviants? Or are my own “old fashioned” prejudices showing?

    • Golgi says:

I’m a life long adventist. I love oral sex. It depends on where you grew up… a small town adventist/baptist/methodist/buddhist/Jew/Muslim will be “straightlaced and blinder-equpped” upbringing.

      NYC Adventists? Oral sex abounds!

  3. Fandango says:

You have to wonder, did they make the kids show their spiritualism by doing chores around the church again? Or are the adults around there really that gone that it sounds innocent?

  4. k@ the custard fairy & IgnoreButton™ says:

    C0ckney knees up cancelled.

  5. The One Guy says:

I figured the “irony” was that you’re supposed to get power from a traditional symbol of servitude (such as kneeling before a King), but the comments have attached a whole new meaning to it. Is that really the first thing you think of?

  6. Gryphon says:

Damn! I’ll worship there any day! Any other perks I should know about?

  7. Hermex says:

    That’s more true than ironic.

  8. JR says:

This was on Highway 18 near Grand Ronde, OR. Ironically, I have a photo of this too…. was driving back & nearly wrecked when I saw it. It’s about a mile from Spirit Mountain Casino & on the other side of the sign it said “You give God the credit, now give him the cash!”

    …. wow. really?

  9. Captain Falcon says:

they are talking about my knee smash!

    (show me ya moves!)

  10. unbelieving girl says:

All of you who put perverted junk on here talking about a church ought to be ashamed of yourselves. I can’t believe that people can be so disrespectful. Yall need to get ur minds out of the blasted gutter. unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. sd says:

    My God is very Large!

  12. Zach says:

Translation: As long as you are down on your knees and praying, we wont judge you.

  13. Izaac! xD says:

well, ”the powerful position is on your knees” means a pray, and it is, it mean that the must powerful thing is god, and if you don’t respect god, you better close your website!
    hmmm
    =/

    • Cat says:

Sorry, I didn’t know atheists weren’t allowed to own websites.

    • Kat says:

i completely agree. i am a seventh day adventist and i find this picture really offensive. just because some people are perverts does NOT mean that is what they meant by this sign. it is about praying and i hate that its being taken in a perverted way.

  14. JimmyBobJoe says:

    Must be a Catholic Church.

  15. CJ says:

    Yeaaaaaa adventists represent

  16. Pockets says:

Ohhh kay everyone. I would just like to say that you can find a sign like this from any church, not just the Adventists.

I find this amusing, though I certainly hope someone changed the sign!

  17. nuclearpolitics says:

Awesome, should be on failblog though…

  18. Valerie says:

Pure awesome… I was raised Adventist. If I’d have seen this I WOULD have driven right off the road.

    • ThunderStar says:

I was raised Adventist too and LMBO at this one :)

And btw for those who can’t see the irony:
Seventh-Day Adventists are typically uptight and the irony would be something that was able to be taken that way being posted on their sign.

I agree it would have been better on failblog but great just the same :)

  19. zizi says:

you do realize that the people who set up this sign, were hoping that it would get alot of attention thus more potential followers right? there fore its a marketing strategy because you do a double take when you look at . . . from the looks of things, it worked.

  20. RJ says:

Even if this IS funny it is not irony.

  21. Unoffended says:

Anybody taking this so frickin’ seriously needs to find their sense of humor. Just because your mind didn’t immediately gutterize like MOST of us doesn’t make it wrong. Learn tolerance. Sheesh.

  22. Woot-ness~ says:

lol I was raised (and still am) an advenist~ yet I find this funny~

  23. sliverofjade says:

This church is near my house. @JimmyBobJoe: Seventh-Day Adventist Church ≠ Catholic Church.

  24. OBXMAR says:

I believe that’s been the Catholic Church’s “Position” all along!

  25. Aklin says:

I hate to say it, but the general secular/non-SDA (and even some, must be back-slider, SDA’s as I can see on here) society in general today is pretty sick and messed up in their thinking. You got that. Perverted like none other.
What ever happened to the clean mind out there? It seems like all people can think about is sex these days. Where did your standards disappear? People like that should be completely ashamed of themselves…there’s more to life than interpreting things into sexually related nonsense…perhaps like, say…being respectful?
Yeah, be respectful…and don’t hate. There’s more to life than that, too. We just need change–we need people who have some moral standards, some values…It makes me sad, because I know the world could be so much better of a place.

    • Aya says:

Someone needs to get laid. Why don’t you go down on your knees in front of God if you’re so religious? He might “shower” you with love. Perhaps you could be the next virgin Mary! ;D

      • Just passing by says:

As much as I hate to say this, you just proved some of Aklin’s point.
As for society being more perverted than ever, that’s not true, humanity has always been sex obsessed, but societies across time alternate on the level of hypocrisy/repression about it.
And if you think about it, trying to get sex out of people’s minds is being sex obsessed as well, not to mention pointless. Better embrace it or ignore it if you don’t feel in the mood for that kind of humor, if you go on a rampage about it, you’ll just start a never ending war that you will never win.
I’m agnostic and I find the sign funny. I do agree that when you wanna be taken seriously, it’s really annoying to have people looking for sexual meanings in you words. I’ve felt like smacking someone because of that, but I’ve found humor in other people’s serious words too, so I can’t say a thing.
And finding something funny isn’t being disrespectful, now if I went to that church and laughed at them on their face it would be, but we’re not harming anyone, and humor is good for the soul.
And last, if you can’t tolerate this form of humor then you shouldn’t be on this site, it has plenty of it.

  26. Gordo says:

It’s an Adventist church. Almost everyone inside is crazy or is being forced to be there by their crazy friends and/or family. That’s the way it was when I was an Adventist.

  27. Jack says:

Dude This Is A Pointless Argument Ok So It May Be Offensive And It May Be Sexual But Who Cares Just Don’t Argue Over The Internet Because All It Is Doing Is Showing That Your Taking Some Stupid Pointless Picture Way Too Seriously. I don’t mean to be rude but arguing on the internet is kinda sad…and pathetic really.
