  1. Chris S. says:

Yes, all those salads and diet sodas making people fat… not to mention the GRILLED chicken…

    • Zira says:

Actually, diet soda DOES make you fat because your body doesn’t really know WTF to do with the fake sugar, so it stores it as fat. Diet soda is a big fat lie.

      • jeanpisstoute says:

Actually, the fake sugar is not stored as fat. But as your brain got the information that sugar (and so calories) entered your body, you’ll be hungry more easily, and then the calories you eat will be stored as fat.

        • Zira says:

I’ve heard both, though what you said was what I do know for sure, as I read an article on it. Either way, diet soda doesn’t work.

          • jamisings says:

Just go get the book Diet Myths That Keep Us Fat. The bit about diet soda is in there, and it’s true. But I think the biggest problem is the sodium in sodas.

            • Jillian C. York says:

A bottle of Diet Coke has 1% of one’s daily sodium intake, so no, sodium is not the issue unless you’re drinking massive amounts of it.

The actual truth is about diet soda making one hungrier. There is no scientific evidence to support fake sugar being stored as fat.

  2. Mojo says:

First! And btw, isn’t it the same woman on both ads? What a hypocrite.

  3. biggles1 says:

    juxtaposition FAIL :P

  4. Gryphon says:

What I’m trying to figure out, is how childhood obesity can be fixed with food stamps..? Wouldn’t that be ending childhood hunger?

    • Zira says:

Because you can afford to buy healthier food with more money (IE, food stamps), as opposed to the cheap crap.

      • Zira says:

Cheap crap that is packed full of calories and preservatives and all sorts of stuff that usually ends up in fat, that is.

    • jamisings says:

One of the reasons kids are so fat now adays is because the healthy stuff is way more expensive then the unhealthy stuff. So by having food stamps parents can, in theory, buy more fresh fruits and veggies, and less chips and fried things. However in reality they buy more chips and fried things.

  5. Lynz Catastrophe says:

Thanks, now i’m hungry for gross food.

  6. Johnny says:

50 cents on the stamp dollar still gets you fatburgers

  7. Jimmy says:

She made the upper one c’ause to prove she was sorry!

  8. Azrael says:

  10. THINK! says:

All I know is that I don’t eat Fast Food except for the rare Fresco burrito at Taco Bell. I eat an abundance of fresh salads, fruits, whole grains, nuts, beans. No meat. No dairy. I love what I eat and I’m free to eat alot (bonus). No nasty shortening coating my mouth. No mega dollars melting from my pocket. I’m not a contributor to the brutality subjected on animals that feed the fast food industry. I work out 4x’s a week 1.5 to 2 hrs a day. I run 2x a week about 4 miles. My cholesterol level is enviable, as is my blood pressure. The overweight gene runs in my family, but I’m not it’s victim. I’m 50.

  11. alex says:

  13. Jo says:

To quote Arsenio Hall, “Things that make you go ‘HMMMMM…’ “

  14. Tay says:

truth is all your fresh food and whole grain is all fake….all this organic food you eat is organicly grown and then processed and pumped with gases to keep them fresh
did you know that when organic lettuce first came out they would just write organic on the package and it convinced people….everything you eat or see within the food industry is a lie

  15. L says:

    Even the cake?

  16. vermonica says:

  17. Chris says:
